The training was held in Bristol, United Kingdom, during the period 19th to 23rd June 2017, and brought together representatives from the five partner institutions, namely the Universities of Kinshasa, Dar- es Salaam, and Rhodes in the south; and the universities of Bristol and Leeds in the north. The training focused on bathymetry measurement for large rivers, development of LisFlood hydrodynamic model, and application of Remote Sensing to large rivers. Part of the training was directed towards preparation for field work on the main channel of the Congo River.
