This work is part of a systemic analysis of the interactions between migration and conflicts linked to climate change and water, with a view to strengthening the resilience of communities in the Congo Basin. On the one hand, we note that the Congo River basin, which has significant potential in water resources, alone generates around 40% of the total flow of the African continent. On the other hand, estimates from various experts indicate that almost a third of the African population lives in arid zones, and that every year several million Africans are exposed to the impacts of drought. Despite efforts to determine the cause of the drought in the Sahel, researchers still wonder about its origins.
