This study focuses on the socioeconomic impacts of mass pastoral migrations in the northeastern part of DR Congo. The surveys, supplemented by interviews, field observations and the analysis of documents and maps, resulted in the collection of in situ data. The major convergence brought out by this study is the affirmation of 100.0% of respondents that the presence of migrants is subject to controversy because of the threats and opportunities they present. The threats would relate to the socio-environmental, socio-political, and socio-economic levels. On the other hand, this presence would constitute an opportunity because it would have favored, on the one hand, the quantitative increase in livestock, meat, milk, and on the other hand it would have contributed to the development of commercial exchanges between the communities.
